October Celebrations with Prehistoric Adventures

Fall is here and so are some of the best Pumpkin Patches around, packed to the brim with fun activities for all! A place for families, friends, or even a date night, this atmosphere is the bee's knees.

For the first time ever we are bringing our mobile Reptile Zoo to the pumpkin patch to add to the spooky fun. You can find us and all of our reptile friends in both Fountain Valley and La Habra at Santa's Garden pumpkin patch.

These pumpkin patches advertises huge, inflatable slides, bounce houses, fire engine train rides and more! You can slide down the Tiger's Mouth or swoosh down the Ship under an Octopus Attack.

But this year's fashion is to have a live, 10 foot snake wrapped around your body, offering a big smile with you in a forever-memorable picture!

As you can see, we have a pen set up for our African spurred tortoises, which you can feed for just three tickets! You can also see we have a full sized iguana, two monitor lizards, and a pancake tortoise.

We also have a rock python, yellow footed tortoises, reticulated pythons and a two hundred and fifty pound reticulated python.

We have lots of other animals set up with an adorable pumpkin theme.

Come see reptiles from around the globe, hold pythons, skinks, and even a scorpion (if you're feeling adventurous).  So come stop by our scenic and fantastic pumpkin patch and start your October with smiles, laughs, and memories.

Faces in Support of Reptiles

Hundreds of visitors enjoy The Reptile Zoo and all of it's creatures each week, over 16,000 reptile presentations completed by Jurassic Parties alone, and thousands of reptiles are responsibly kept as pets across the United States, but somehow these people, these faces, are overlooked and demonized for their support of reptiles. At The Reptile Zoo we are ready to put a face to these supporters of the reptile community and use these faces to garner support for the protection of these species.

On The Reptile Zoo's Twitter and Facebook pages we will be posting a daily image of people from every walk and stage of life who have benefited from their interaction with these beautiful creatures. Below are just a sampling of the photos to come. We invite you to join our mission by posting your pictures, sharing your stories, and spreading the support for reptiles and their keepers.

Educating Old Fashioned Fun with Jurassic Parties

Hey All Prehistoric and Jurassic fans Andrew here.

Today I hosted my first Educational Party for the Boys and Girls Club at Lawrence Elementary School. For our classroom parties I like to provide a fine balance between education, hands-on interaction, and pure old fashioned fun, creating an experience that educators and students alike will not forget. We had a great time learning about all the animals and every student seemed to have a lot of great questions and comments.

At the end of the presentation all the kids lined up for a group picture with one of our 12 foot Burmese pythons and got to handle a few of our animals for pictures and some up close and personal interaction. One student in particular, Marco, was especially fascinated with tarantulas and was the very first volunteer to hold our Chilean Rose Haired tarantula named Fuzzy. He stood up in front of his class, and let Fuzzy crawl all over his head. Way to go Marco for being so brave!!

Overall the kids had a great time and all agreed to come visit us at The Reptile Zoo!!!
